Session Description: YOU ARE MERMAZING! Learn how the City of Los Angeles turned their park into a magical experience through empowerment and captured the attention of more than 3,000 girls. Learn how to plan, organize, and implement a program geared to empowering young girls age 8-17. A day consist of guest speakers, girl talk sessions, sports, crafts, and more. You too can provide a safe environment for creativity, expression, socialization, inclusion, diversity, and empowerment. Come join us to find out more!!
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion participants will be able to identify the differences and similarities of one another no matter what race, economic status, and educational experiences others may have.
Upon completion participants will be able to organize, plan, and conduct programming that focuses on empowering girls.
Upon completion participants will be able to engage in a conference style breakout groups called "Pieces of US".
