My name is Reneshia White.I have been working for the Department of Los Angeles Recreation and Parks for over 24 years and really enjoy giving back to the community through programming and mentorship. I grew at the parks playing sports and participated in many activities, therefore I wanted to give back. Pretty in Pink is a girls empowerment program that was created for girls to have a safe space to discuss daily challenges among women who support them. It brings me joy to know that I'm able reach out to young girls in the community, to be able provide resources such as learning to cope with anxiety or ways to positively channel that anxiety by doing yoga, dance, or drawing.
