Chris has over 35 years of public agency experience leading, developing and managing high performing teams. He specializes in the field of strategic leadership, teamwork and organizational development processes. He is a Professor of Recreation Management at Cal State East Bay in Hayward and has worked as a Department Chair, and Interim Dean in the College of Education and Allied Studies. He is currently serving as the Interim Associate Dean and Interim Chair for the Department of Teacher Education.
Prior to coming to Cal State East Bay, he worked 20 years in the recreation industry for the City of San Ramon, where he served as a Program Manager for Aquatics and Youth programs. During his career, he has had the good fortune to serve on the CPRS State Board twice in addition to serving as the President of the Administrators, Educators, and Aquatic Sections. He’s also been able to research, publish, train, and speak on the topics of leadership, organizational development, and team building development throughout the US and at international conferences.
