    Dr. Anne K. Turner currently serves as the City of Corona’s Community Services Director, overseeing a more than $25 million dollar budget and including 4 Divisions – Library Services - circulation, outreach, and programming; Recreation Services – special events, senior services, and youth programs; Community Assistance Division - Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), rental assistance, and the Corona Municipal Airport; and last but not least, the Facilities, Parks, and Trails Division - Park Ranger Program, Lighting Maintenance Districts (LMDs)/Community Facilities Districts (CFDs) and Building Maintenance. She has been with the City just under two years and in that time, Dr. Turner has overseen the passage of the Urban Forest Management Plan, the Parks and Recreation Needs Assessment, the Trails Master Plan – Phase I, and is currently working on a Parks and Recreation Master Plan for the City’s urban parks, the City Park Master Plan, and the Trails Master Plan – Phase II. Before coming to Corona, Dr. Turner served as the Director of Human Services for the City of Claremont overseeing Parks, Recreation programs, Senior Services, Special Events, Parks & Rec Facilities, Homeless Services, Community Based Organizations, and Administration. Dr. Turner has more than 20 years of experience in academia and non-profit fundraising from small private liberal arts colleges to large public institutions, as well as non-profit organizations. Most recently, Dr. Turner has worked for Claremont Lincoln University (CLU) in developing the curriculum and designing their Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) program, which the first inaugural class, graduated in June 2022. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Pitzer College, and master’s and doctorate degrees in public administration from the University of La Verne.
