Dr. Clement Lau, FAICP, has over 20 years of professional experience in urban and regional planning. Currently, Clement is a Departmental Facilities Planner with the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation where he works on a variety of data-driven, equity-focused park planning projects, including master plans and needs assessments. He enjoys writing and has articles published in Parks & Rec Business magazine, the American Planning Association’s Planning magazine, and the National Recreation and Park Association’s Parks and Recreation magazine and Open Space blog. He holds a doctorate and master’s in urban planning from the University of Southern California, and a bachelor’s in economics from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa.
