I have been in the field of Environmental Education and Interpretation for over 20 years. Starting my career as a zookeeper and educator, I discovered that the children visiting knew more about animals thousands of miles away than they did about the ones in their backyards. I left the zoo field to focus more on local community education in a nature center setting. Sharing nature with local youth and their families to establish a connection with their surroundings became my main goal. Sparking curiosity to ask questions and creating stewards for our communities and its resources is what I am passionate about. Nature is everywhere, you just need to be willing to experience it.
