Beatriz (Bea) Barnett earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies at UCLA, and also received a Professional Designation in Advertising from UCLA Extension. Ms. Barnett serves as a Community Services Superintendent for the City of Temecula. In her 18th year with the City of Temecula, she has the privilege of overseeing Temecula's Community Services Department's Marketing, Public Relations & Social Media Outreach; Cultural Arts (Museum, Visual Arts, Public Art & Sister Cities); Senior & Inclusive Services; Workforce Development & Internship; and Community Relations & Outreach Divisions.
As a public servant, Bea is committed to providing a creative community by delivering visual and performing arts experiences, arts education opportunities, and community outreach offerings to residents and visitors alike. In addition to being a member of the California Parks & Recreation Society, she is also a member of California Presenters and Western Arts Alliance.
As an enthusiastic advocate for cultural tourism, performing arts, and visual arts, she works daily to inspire the next generation of patrons and enrich the lives of families in our growing community. Bea's highly-decorated marketing campaigns, arts programming, and facilities management have earned multiple California Parks & Recreation Society Awards of Excellence in Marketing and Communications; one Helen Putnam Award for Economic Development through the Arts in 2017; and Polaris & Capella Awards from the Public Relations Society of America – Inland Empire.
