Session Description: This session will provide participants the knowledge and inclusive practices to better include kids with disabilities into existing programs throughout the CPRS network. Move United is a non-profit organization that is a national leader in community adaptive sports. Our 200 member organizations in 43 states are united by a single mission: ensuring everyone, regardless of ability, experiences the life-changing power of sport and is included in their community. Move United will highlight it’s Inclusive Playbook (IPB) and accompanying curriculum as well as their best in class Education Hub, an online Learning Management System for anyone to access adapted sport and recreation resources.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session, attendees should be able to access several resources to support inclusive sport and recreation within their programs.
At the end of this session, attendees will be able to explain the importance of inclusion as it relates to programming for children and youth with and without disabilities.
At the end of the session attendees will have the tools to implement the Inclusive Playbook Curriculum.
