    Preparing Recreation Staff and Programs for an Uncertain Economic Future

    Session Description:

    We have been through so much, and who knows what the future will hold next? The uncertainty of the current economy is a looming question, and we do not have a crystal ball to show us how and what to program. How do we know if programs/revenue will grow or contract? Are we going to have enough staff? How do I budget for the upcoming cycle? We will explore all these ideas with strategies to tackle these unknowns.

    Learning Objectives:

    • Upon completion, participants will be able to define and identify the economic factors that can significantly affect recreation programming.
    • Upon completion, participants will be able to develop and adjust programming based on current economic factors.
    • Upon completion, participants will be able to create a plan for staffing and budgeting based on economic factors.
